Method
Prepare the Peppers
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
Make the Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stuff the Peppers
- Fill each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture. Place them upright in a baking dish.
- Top each pepper with the remaining tomato sauce and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
