Ingredients
  

Stuffing
  • 4 pieces Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with turkey or vegetarian option
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Divided
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Peppers
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
Make the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stuff the Peppers
  1. Fill each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture. Place them upright in a baking dish.
  2. Top each pepper with the remaining tomato sauce and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
