Method
 

Baking the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake batter by whisking together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Preparing the Milk Mixture
  1. Prepare the milk mixture by combining sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk or heavy cream.
Assembling the Cake
  1. Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it, allowing it to absorb.
