Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup milk whole milk
For the Tres Leches Mixture
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
For the Topping
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries ripe, for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, combining flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well combined.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar in a separate bowl until light and frothy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the milk mixture by whisking together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk in a large bowl.
Topping
  1. Once the cake is cooled, poke holes in the top and pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  2. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form and spread it over the soaked cake.
  3. Top with fresh strawberries for decoration and serve.
