A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, featuring layers of mascarpone cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients
  

Mascarpone Mixture
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coffee Mixture
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur optional
Layering
  • 1 pkg ladyfinger cookies about 24 cookies
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder for dusting

Method
 

Prepare Mascarpone Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Prepare Coffee Mixture
  1. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur.
Layer the Tiramisu
  1. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
  2. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Add half of the sliced strawberries on top of the mascarpone layer.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.
Chill and Serve
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  2. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

For a more intense coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
