Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 8 slices whole grain bread
Smoked Salmon
  • 8 oz smoked salmon thinly sliced
Cream Cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
Capers
  • 2 tbsp capers drained
Red Onion
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
Lemon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
Fresh Dill
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread
  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, fresh dill, and black pepper until smooth.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer smoked salmon, capers, and red onion on four of the slices.
  3. Top with the remaining slices of bread, cream cheese side down.
Serve
  1. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
