Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Assemble the Sandwich
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer smoked salmon on half of the slices, followed by capers, red onion, and tomato slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, cream cheese side down, to form sandwiches.
Serve
- Cut the sandwiches in half or quarters and serve immediately.
