Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base
  • 8 slices whole grain bread
  • 8 oz smoked salmon
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp capers drained
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
Garnish
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 small tomato sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer smoked salmon on half of the slices, followed by capers, red onion, and tomato slices.
  3. Top with the remaining slices of bread, cream cheese side down, to form sandwiches.
Serve
  1. Cut the sandwiches in half or quarters and serve immediately.
