Ingredients
  

For the Matcha Cream Layer
  • 250 grams Mascarpone cheese Rich cheese for creamy texture.
  • 200 ml Heavy cream Whipped until stiff peaks form.
  • 50 grams Powdered sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Matcha powder Use high-quality matcha.
For the Coffee Layer
  • 1 cup Strong brewed coffee Choose a robust blend.
  • 2 tablespoons Espresso or coffee liqueur For added depth.
For the Assembly
  • 200 grams Ladyfingers (Savoiardi) Sponge biscuits that soak up flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder For dusting on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together matcha powder and hot water until smooth and vibrant.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until creamy and fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Carefully fold the cooled matcha mixture into the mascarpone cream until well-mixed but fluffy.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into brewed green tea (or milk) for just a second and layer them in your dish.
  6. Spread half of the matcha cream over the first layer of ladyfingers and repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with additional matcha powder.
