Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together matcha powder and hot water until smooth and vibrant.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until creamy and fluffy.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- Carefully fold the cooled matcha mixture into the mascarpone cream until well-mixed but fluffy.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into brewed green tea (or milk) for just a second and layer them in your dish.
- Spread half of the matcha cream over the first layer of ladyfingers and repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and remaining cream.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
- Before serving, dust the top with additional matcha powder.
