Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 pound ground beef can substitute with thinly sliced beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat
Rice and Toppings
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown rice
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 sesame seeds toasted for garnish
  • 4 eggs fried optional topping

Method
 

Prepare the Beef
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Serve
  1. Spoon the cooked beef over a bed of rice in bowls.
  2. Top with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and a fried egg if desired.
