Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 medium ripe avocados halved and pitted
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice about 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped, optional

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, lime juice, and salt to the bowl.
Mash and Mix
  1. Using a fork, mash the avocado and mix all the ingredients together until well combined but still chunky.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
Serve
  1. Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
  2. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.
