  • 2 medium ripe avocados halved, pitted, and peeled
  • 1 small lime juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 small jalapeño seeded and minced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until smooth but still chunky.
  2. Add lime juice and salt, and mix well.
  3. Fold in the chopped onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, and garlic (if using).
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
