Ingredients
  

For the Beef Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef preferably lean
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
For Serving
  • 1 head butter lettuce leaves separated
  • 1 cup carrots shredded
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup cilantro fresh, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Beef Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add garlic, ginger, bell pepper, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in green onions just before removing from heat.
Assemble the Wraps
  1. Take a lettuce leaf and spoon a portion of the beef filling into the center.
  2. Top with shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, and fresh cilantro.
  3. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and enjoy!
