Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef, lean
  • 0.5 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dry basil
  • 1 to 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Combine all ingredients except oil in a large bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined.
  2. Form mixture into 1½ inch meatballs.
  3. Preheat oven to 400˚F.
  4. Place meatballs on a sheet pan lined with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Drizzle oil over meatballs and turn to coat.
  5. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
  6. Add to marinara sauce and simmer for 20 minutes.
