Ingredients

For the Gnocchi
  • 1 package Potato gnocchi store-bought works great
  • 1 tsp Salt for boiling water
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Butter or olive oil for a lighter option
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh minced
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
For the Salmon
  • 2 fillets Fresh salmon fillets wild-caught recommended
  • 1 tbsp Dill or parsley if desired
For Garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Chopped chives or green onions for freshness

Method

Prepare the Gnocchi
  1. Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the top, usually about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Salmon
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt some butter and add diced salmon. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Make the Sauce
  1. Pour in heavy cream and stir well with the salmon. Allow it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, letting it thicken slightly while absorbing delicious salmon flavors.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Gently fold in the cooked gnocchi into the creamy salmon mixture, ensuring each piece is coated well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let all flavors meld together.
Season to Taste
  1. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and fresh herbs like dill or parsley for an added burst of flavor. Stir gently to incorporate everything evenly.
Garnish
  1. Optional: Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese before serving for an extra creamy touch!
