Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz Penne pasta or any pasta of choice
Chicken Sausage
  • 1 lb Chicken sausage sliced
Vegetables
  • 1 cup Bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup Zucchini sliced
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper to taste
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Sausage and Vegetables
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic, bell pepper, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Sauté for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour in the chicken broth and add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Combining Everything
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
