Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels and rub the seasoning mixture all over them.
Cooking
- Place the seasoned chicken legs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and brush BBQ sauce generously over each leg.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serving
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
